Dr Andrew Borrie

Dr Andrew Borrie graduated from Otago University before undergoing cardiology training at Wellington hospital, with a fellowship in complex coronary intervention and intravascular imaging. Following on from this, he undertook a second fellowship in coronary intervention at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney to further his skills, before returning to Auckland.

Dr Borrie has performed over 1,000 coronary interventions, is involved in international clinical trials and has made multiple publications and conference presentations.  Particular areas of interest include cholesterol, intracoronary imaging and sheathless guide catheters.  As well as working at Ascot Cardiology Group Dr Borrie also works at Middlemore hospital and teaches medical students and cardiology trainees.

Dr Borrie is passionate about healthy living, exercise and holistic patient care and outside of work enjoys crossfit, swimming and running.
