Glossary: Angiogram

(or Invasive Coronary Catheterization) This is an invasive procedure that requires a catheter to the radial wrist artery or the femoral artery. The catheter is guided to the heart. Contrast material visible on x-ray is injected and it is determined whether there are blockages or narrowings within the coronary arteries.
