Glossary: ECG

An electrocardiogram or ECG records the electrical signals in the heart using a 12-lead ECG machine. It is used to assess the Hearts Rate and Rhythm, on analysis a physician can diagnose issues with Heart Disease, Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathies. The ECG does assess you in the present time, this is why we encourage an ECG to be completed when you are experiencing symptoms.
